“Gary’s Marquette Park will serve as the primary viewing location for attendees and hub
for food, vendors, and beachfront activities. Residents and visitors will have access to
parking and shuttles directly to the lakefront park. Once inside, they will experience
stunning aerial performances from regional, national, and international aviators, while
enjoying spectacular views of Lake Michigan and the Indiana Dunes.”

2023 Crossroads Airshow
The Crossroads Air Show will bring a world-class aviation event to the Indianapolis area Oct. 28-29, 2023. This two-day, large-scale regional event will feature the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the finest precision military jet demonstration team.
ORD Airport Watch Fall Cookout
Let’s grill it up on The Hill! This year’s annual fall cookout will feature the usual burgers, hot dogs, chips, salads, sodas, cookies, in addition to the first annual PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST!
Come show off your stuff, win a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd prize and be featured on our website and in our social media outlets. Bring one 5x7 color or black and white print out of your favorite spotting photo taken at one of our local ORD Watch airports. ON BACK: list date taken, location, and type of aircraft. Name must be covered, but detectible. Do not miss this opportunity to published! 2023 TBM Avenger Reunion & Salute To Veterans
The TBM Avenger Reunion and Salute to Veterans is on for 2023!! Plan your weekend now for Friday, May 19th and Saturday, May 20th.
In 2023, there is a full two day event for Friday and Saturday with a full airshow on each day. As usual, there will be a wide variety of many warbirds and a large gathering of TBM Avengers as well.
Rockford Airport Tour
Attention ORD AW members!
We are fortunate enough to be able to offer a field tour of Rockford International Airport!
The field tour will take place on Wednesday, December 21st. This is the peak time of the season for cargo movements at RFD. UPS, FedEx, and Amazon Prime all make multiple movements during the days leading up to the Christmas holiday. RFD also hosts several other regularly scheduled cargo flights that will be coming and going as well.
We have seats for 30 spotters. The seats will be given first come, first serve. We will have a standby list as well. You must be a current ORD AW member to attend.
Again, this is a members-only event due the the limited number of seats available. Also, apologies for the short notice, but the tour came together very quickly.

Responses received before that time will not be processed.
We will meet at 9:00am at the RFD maintenance facility located at 5751 Falcon Road, Rockford, IL 61109. The tour will take place rain or shine, and typically last 4-6 hours, depending on weather, light, and airplane traffic. Please dress accordingly. Access to bathrooms will be limited during the tour, but we may be able to make a stop if needed. Also, the reason for the tour taking place during the week is due to the large decrease in cargo traffic on the weekends. If there are any questions, please ask!

ORD Airport Watch Tour
To all Airport Watch members -
The Watch will be sponsoring an airside spotting tour on Saturday, October 15th and/or Sunday, October 16th.
The day(s) have not yet been finalized.
The air side tour is planned for 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
To be included on this tour, members must respond by end-of-day Wednesday, October 12th..
Send an email to bill_gaston@sbcglobal.net if you would like to be included.
You must include your full name, birth date and drivers license number in your RSVP.
We are hoping to have 2 busses each day, but we will take what we can get.
At this time, we do not have a definite number of members we can accommodate.
Responses will be recorded in date-stamp order. Once the list is full, members will be placed on a standby list.
You will be notifies as to the specific day(s) and other information once the details are finalized.
